Here are some suggestions for which of Ant's albums to buy from his back catalogue.
If you are new to Ant's music then we suggest that the Anthology compilation is the best place to start as it provides a good sample of most of the styles of music that Ant has worked in.
If you know of Ant through Genesis then his first solo album The Geese & The Ghost is a good place to start.

Some choices from Ant's back catalogue selected by Pavilion editor Alan Hewitt
The Geese & The Ghost ... classic album and not only because it also features Mike and Phil!
Sides, a great mix of pop and the more classic elements of Ant's music. Um & Aargh is a hilarious send- up of the record industry, and Magdalen and Bleak House are simply awesome.
Private Parts & Pieces 1, a marvellous selection of Ant's acoustic playing, listen to Tregenna Afternoons and collapse in wonder!
Private Parts & Pieces IV: A Catch At The Tables mixes electric and acoustic pieces together in a great blend .
Invisible Men - Anthony Phillips "does POP" yes, and he does it well. Women Were Watching is as valid an indictment of the stupidity of war today as it was back in '82. I Want Your Heart and Sally are greatly underrated songs too.
Private Parts & Pieces VII: Slow Waves, Soft Stars - for me, one of the best of the entire series. This one mixes Ant's synth pieces with the more traditional acoustic tracks in a way which seems almost natural, an album of great contrasts.
1984, took me completely by surprise with its entire music composed on synthesisers, a marvellous album.
Tarka, I adore this album. Ant's classical leanings show through and the whole thing is a glorious evocation of the story and one which will, I am sure become a film soundtrack one day!Missing Links Volume 2: The Sky Road, another compilation of material which for one reason or another never found a home on previous efforts. Tears On A Rainy Day is simply gorgeous, and the Lifeboat Suite is marvellously descriptive music.
Slow Dance, words cannot really describe the impact this album had on me when I first heard it. this one has the lot; melody, drama, a huge sweeping cinematic canvas of an album - magnificent!
Happy listening!
