In this section of the site we give details of the current availability of Ant's CDs plus some of the other titles mentioned in the discography, together with some retailers that offer these CDs for sale.  

At the end of this section we have links to various on-line retailers who sell Ant's CDs.  We have arranged these into UK and US sections although most (if not all) of the retailers offer a worldwide mail-order service. Obviously there is no way that we can list every shop or dealer that stocks Ant's CDs but we hope that the information that we give here is of use if you want to buy Ant's CDs and do not have a good record shop in your area that can supply them.

The information included in this section is kept as up-to-date as possible but please bear in mind that releases are often deleted by record companies without warning.  We also recommend shopping around to take advantage of the best prices from the various retailers.

Latest releases & re-issues

 

1984

2 CD re-issue of Ant's sixth solo album released by Voiceprint Records.  Release date: 2nd June 2008.

Includes the original album newly re-mastered from the original tapes by Simon Heyworth and an extra CD which includes new mixes from the original 8-track masters which allow parts of the album to be heard for the first time in their original basic form.  

Also released for the first time is some of Ant's original music for the ATV Series Rule Britannia which was recorded at the same time as the album, the previously unheard keyboard piece Ascension (which was re-discovered on the original multi-track tapes during the research for this re-issue and has been mixed for the first time) and the 16-minute demo version of Poly Piece - a track originally written for inclusion on Sides and then considered by Ant as a possible track for 1984 in the formative stages of the album.

The re-issue will also feature new liner notes with contributions from recording engineer Chris David, the writer and presenter of Rule Britannia Dr James Bellini together with Ant's own memories of the album.

Wise After The Event

2 CD re-issue of Ant's second solo album released by Voiceprint Records.  Release date: 19th May 2008.

Includes the original album newly re-mastered from the original tapes by Simon Heyworth and an extra CD which includes no less than 64 minutes of variations, demos and alternate versions of the songs from the album including some unique new mixes which have been made from the original multi-track masters especially for this release.  Also included is the edited single version of We're All As We Lie which has not previously been available on CD.

The re-issue also includes new sleeve notes with a detailed account of the recording of the album and memories and anecdotes from Ant, Rupert Hine and John G. Perry.

The Geese And The Ghost

2 CD re-issue of Ant's debut solo album released by Voiceprint Records.  Release date: 14th April 2008

Includes the original album newly re-mastered from the original tapes by Simon Heyworth (complete with the previously unreleased Lutes Chorus Reprise section of Henry restored to it's correct place) and an extra CD of variations and demos plus the planned single version of Silver Song recorded by Ant with Mike Rutherford and Phil Collins in 1973.  

The re-issue also includes new sleeve notes with a detailed account of the recording of the album and memories and anecdotes from Ant, Peter Cross, John Hackett and Simon Heyworth.  Rosanna Arquette also shares her memories of one of her favourite tracks on the album.

A double CD charity release.  Includes a 12-string piece by Ant called Sky Dawn together with otherwise unavailable tracks from Robert Fripp, Peter Hammill, John Wetton and The Enid amongst others.
